Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Local CDL-A Driver to join our team in Missoula, Montana. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Class A CDL drivers who want to be home daily and enjoy a consistent schedule. You’ll be responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of LTL freight within a local service area. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle for local pickup and delivery of LTL freight.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment and document findings.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, including manifests, bills of lading, and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS)
- Ability to lift, push, and pull freight weighing up to 75 pounds
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement
- Forklift operation experience
- Previous Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) driving experience
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
