Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tennis Court Maintenance Worker to join our groundskeeping team on a seasonal basis. This role is crucial in ensuring our tennis courts are in pristine condition for our guests, contributing directly to their enjoyable leisure experience. You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and basic maintenance of our outdoor tennis facilities, working primarily outdoors in a dynamic resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspection and cleaning of tennis courts, including sweeping, blowing leaves, and removing debris.
- Ensure nets are at correct height and tension, making minor adjustments as needed.
- Monitor court surfaces for wear and tear, reporting any significant issues to the Grounds Manager.
- Apply line markings as required, ensuring accuracy and visibility.
- Assist with general groundskeeping duties as directed, which may include light gardening, litter picking, or path clearing.
- Operate basic grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of groundskeeping or sports facility maintenance is a plus, but not essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, sports facility maintenance, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of tennis court specific maintenance techniques.
- Full UK driving license.
