Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Labeling Machine Operator to join our production team in Nashville. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining labeling machinery to ensure accurate and efficient product labeling. You will play a crucial part in our quality control process, ensuring all products meet our high standards before distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate labeling machines according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Load raw materials (labels, products) into the labeling machine.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct quality checks on labeled products to ensure accuracy, proper placement, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of labeling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report complex problems to maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including downtime, output, and quality checks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production flow and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Experience operating manufacturing machinery, preferably labeling or packaging equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform quality checks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of production processes and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience in a food or pet food manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
