Job Description
Join JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program in Lake Charles, LA, and immerse yourself in the fast-paced world of corporate finance. This program offers a unique opportunity for highly motivated undergraduates to gain significant experience, develop analytical and quantitative skills, and contribute to real-time projects across various industry sectors and product groups. As a Summer Analyst, you will work alongside experienced professionals, assisting with financial analysis, client presentations, and deal execution. This intensive program is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to our Investment Banking division, preparing you for a successful career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including valuation, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and other marketing materials.
- Support senior bankers in all aspects of transaction execution, from origination to closing.
- Perform extensive industry and company research to identify trends and potential opportunities.
- Develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis to evaluate various strategic options.
- Participate in due diligence processes for M&A and capital markets transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams across different divisions and geographies.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.3).
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Demonstrated interest in investment banking and financial markets.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience in finance, consulting, or a related field.
- Familiarity with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and corporate finance concepts.
- Leadership experience in extracurricular activities or academic projects.
