Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time In-Store Pharmacy Technician for evening shifts at our Lexington location. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including counting, pouring, mixing, and labeling prescriptions.
- Process patient prescriptions and insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Adhere to all regulatory and company policies regarding patient privacy and medication handling.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems for data entry and record keeping.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license/certification in Kentucky.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician (6 months preferred, but open to strong candidates).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work evening shifts and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Walgreens pharmacy systems (RxConnect).
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.
- Experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
