Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Porter to join our friendly team at Hilton Garden Inn Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing outstanding guest service and thrives in a dynamic hotel environment. You will be responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of public areas. Immediate start is available pending a successful DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals looking to start or advance their career in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, both upon check-in and check-out.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel facilities and services.
- Deliver newspapers, mail, and other items to guest rooms as required.
- Assist with the transfer of luggage for group arrivals and departures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and other public areas.
- Support the front desk and concierge team with various tasks, including answering guest queries and providing local information.
- Ensure the security of guest belongings and hotel property.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and complaints.
- Assist with setting up meeting rooms or event spaces as needed.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
