Job Description

Sainsbury’s is seeking enthusiastic Home Delivery Offsiders to assist our drivers in getting groceries to our valued customers. Your primary role will be to provide crucial support to our delivery drivers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries with a smile. Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Navigate routes with the driver, ensuring timely arrival at customer locations.
- Help carry and deliver grocery orders from the vehicle directly to customers' homes, often involving stairs and multiple trips.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.
- Ensure the accuracy of delivered orders against customer invoices.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines during loading, transit, and delivery.
- Assist with basic vehicle checks and maintenance as required by the driver.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment within the delivery vehicle.
- Represent Sainsbury's brand professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of lifting and carrying heavy items repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or customer service environment.
