Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first job or a way to earn extra money? Fred Meyer in Richland is seeking enthusiastic and reliable High School Grocery Baggers for immediate hire. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn the ropes of the retail industry, develop valuable customer service skills, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. As a Grocery Bagger, you’ll be an essential part of our front-end team, ensuring customers leave with their purchases packed carefully and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and carefully bag customer groceries at the checkout counter.
- Offer assistance with carrying groceries to customers' vehicles when requested.
- Maintain a clean and organized bagging area, including restocking bags and supplies.
- Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to designated areas.
- Assist with light cleaning duties around the front end of the store, such as wiping down counters or sweeping.
- Provide friendly and courteous service to all customers, answering basic questions or directing them to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth store operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry groceries weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
