Job Description
Join Tesco PLC as a Greenhouse Direct Sorter in our Leith distribution centre! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to start a career in retail logistics and contribute to bringing fresh produce to our customers. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in the sorting and preparation of various greenhouse products, ensuring they meet our high quality standards and are ready for distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and separate greenhouse produce according to quality, size, and type.
- Inspect items for defects, damage, or spoilage, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organised sorting area, adhering to all hygiene and safety standards.
- Operate basic sorting equipment as trained, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Prepare sorted produce for packing and dispatch, following specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sorting targets.
- Handle produce with care to minimise waste and ensure optimal freshness.
