Job Description
Are you a recent graduate or currently pursuing a graduate degree with a passion for helping others unlock their full potential? FranklinCovey is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Life Coaching Intern to join our dynamic team for a paid summer program. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in personal and professional development, applying foundational coaching principles under the guidance of seasoned professionals. You will contribute to impactful projects, learn innovative coaching methodologies, and develop skills that will be invaluable in any career path focused on human development and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior coaches in developing and delivering life coaching workshops and training sessions.
- Conduct research on current coaching trends, methodologies, and best practices.
- Prepare presentation materials, handouts, and other resources for coaching programs.
- Provide administrative support for coaching initiatives, including scheduling and participant communication.
- Contribute to the creation of personalized development plans for program participants.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborative brainstorming sessions to enhance program content.
- Shadow experienced coaches during individual and group coaching sessions to observe techniques and client interactions.
- Gather and analyze feedback from participants to identify areas for program improvement.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master's or PhD program in Psychology, Counseling, Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Empathy, active listening, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Demonstrated interest in personal growth, leadership, and human potential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in mentorship, tutoring, or peer counseling roles.
- Familiarity with coaching models or frameworks (e.g., GROW model, cognitive-behavioral coaching).
- Experience with online learning platforms or virtual collaboration tools.
- A foundational understanding of adult learning principles.
