Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Furniture Store Auditor to join our team in Fullerton, CA. This pivotal role will primarily focus on auditing high-ticket furniture items, ensuring compliance with company policies, inventory accuracy, and quality control standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and thorough audits of high-ticket furniture inventory across all store departments, including showrooms, warehouses, and receiving areas.
- Verify product quantities, models, colors, and conditions against inventory records and sales documentation.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in inventory, sales, and return data, providing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures related to inventory management, asset protection, and operational compliance.
- Inspect high-ticket items for damage, defects, or mislabeling, escalating issues to relevant departments for resolution.
- Perform periodic reconciliations of physical inventory counts with system records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of audit protocols and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with store management, loss prevention, and other departments to address audit findings and improve operational controls.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, detailing findings, risks, and recommendations for management review.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging trends in retail auditing and loss prevention.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail auditing, inventory control, or loss prevention, with a focus on high-value goods.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough and accurate inventory audits.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic retail environment.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
