Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and professional Funeral Limousine Driver to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing dignified transportation services for families and clergy during funeral processions, memorial services, and related events. This position requires a high degree of empathy, punctuality, and an unwavering commitment to professional appearance and conduct. You will be an essential part of ensuring smooth and respectful proceedings, representing our firm with the utmost care and sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain funeral limousines and other company vehicles, ensuring they are always clean and in excellent working condition.
- Provide respectful and punctual transportation for families, clergy, and other funeral participants to and from funeral homes, churches, cemeteries, and other designated locations.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles, offering support and guidance as needed.
- Follow established routes and adhere strictly to procession protocols and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a dignified and solemn demeanor at all times, understanding the sensitive nature of the service provided.
- Communicate effectively with funeral directors, colleagues, and families to coordinate transportation logistics.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience (e.g., limousine, taxi, bus, shuttle).
- Exceptional customer service skills with a strong sense of empathy and compassion.
- Impeccable personal presentation and professional demeanor.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in emotionally sensitive situations.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Mesa and surrounding areas.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the funeral services industry or a related field.
- Knowledge of funeral procession etiquette and protocols.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
