Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Fuel Delivery Driver to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a local tanker role, meaning you’ll enjoy consistent routes and be home daily. As a Fuel Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of various fuel products to our customers and terminals, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (tanker truck) to transport petroleum products to designated locations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
  • Load and unload fuel products according to company procedures and regulatory requirements, ensuring product integrity and safety.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT, Hazmat, and environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and manifest documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicle and equipment.
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and adhere to all company safety policies.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
  • Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement
  • Tanker endorsement
  • Clean driving record (MVR) with no major infractions
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading (e.g., climbing, bending, lifting)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience with a Class A CDL, specifically in fuel or hazardous materials transport.
  • Familiarity with local routes and road networks in and around Lexington, Kentucky.
  • Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Proven track record of safety and reliability.
