Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Foreign Exchange Teller to join our dynamic team in Torrance, CA. This specialized role focuses on assisting clients with their international currency exchange needs, particularly those planning or returning from international travel. As a key point of contact, you will provide expert advice on currency conversions, exchange rates, and related services, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities
- Process foreign currency exchange transactions accurately and efficiently for individual and business clients.
- Advise clients on current exchange rates, potential fees, and available foreign currency options.
- Assist clients in understanding the best strategies for managing currency needs related to international travel.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances, including foreign currency inventories, adhering to all bank policies and procedures.
- Verify identification and complete all necessary documentation for foreign exchange transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and refer opportunities for additional bank products and services to appropriate banking specialists.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building strong relationships and resolving inquiries with professionalism.
- Stay informed on global economic trends and geopolitical events that may impact currency markets.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and maintain a high standard of operational excellence.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling, retail banking, or a related customer service role.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and basic banking software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
