Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated FedEx Ground Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hialeah, Florida. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our ground facilities. The specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the timely sorting, loading, and dispatching of packages, upholding FedEx’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. This is an on-site position requiring hands-on involvement in our fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of packages from vehicles.
- Sort packages efficiently according to destination and delivery routes.
- Operate package handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Support general ground operations as needed to meet daily targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 75 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or transportation setting.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
- Knowledge of FedEx operational procedures.
