Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Foley Artist to join our dynamic audio post-production team in Montgomery, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, performing, and recording realistic and imaginative sound effects that enhance the narrative and emotional impact of our film and television projects. You will work closely with sound designers, editors, and directors to ensure the highest quality audio for a diverse range of productions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform and record foley effects in sync with on-screen action for film and television projects.
- Source and prepare props, materials, and surfaces to create authentic sounds.
- Collaborate with sound supervisors, editors, and directors to understand creative vision and sound requirements.
- Edit, clean up, and process recorded foley tracks to ensure professional quality.
- Maintain foley studio equipment and spaces, ensuring optimal performance.
- Manage and organize foley libraries and project assets.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies in foley artistry.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Foley Artist in film and television post-production.
- Exceptional ability to create a wide range of realistic and stylized sound effects.
- Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools.
- Strong sense of rhythm, timing, and synchronization.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a keen ear for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical dexterity and adaptability to perform various sound-generating actions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Film Production, or a related field.
- Experience with sound design and mixing principles.
- Familiarity with various recording microphones and techniques.
- Portfolio or demo reel showcasing foley work on previous projects.
