Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as FedEx Ground Delivery Couriers. This is a full-time position offering high earning potential and weekly payouts. As a courier, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of packages to residential and business customers within the Durham, NC area. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Navigate routes using GPS and delivery manifests to meet strict deadlines.
- Deliver packages to customers' doors, ensuring accurate scanning and signature collection (when required).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 150 lbs with equipment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery driving or a related field (e.g., mail carrier, truck driver).
- Familiarity with the Durham, NC geographical area.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices and GPS navigation systems.
