Job Description

SoCalGas is seeking motivated individuals for an Entry Level Pipeline Helper position. This role offers 100% on-the-job training, making it perfect for those with no prior experience in the field who are eager to learn and grow within the energy industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers, assisting with the maintenance, repair, and installation of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure. This is a physically demanding role that requires dedication to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians and engineers with pipeline maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.
  • Handle and transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
  • Learn and apply safety protocols and procedures for working with natural gas systems.
  • Perform basic labor tasks such as digging, trenching, and backfilling.
  • Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Participate in all provided on-the-job training sessions.
