Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-time Night Auditor with a strong focus on weekend hotel finance operations to join our team at the Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Aurora, Colorado. This crucial role ensures the smooth financial closing of daily operations and provides excellent guest service during the overnight shift, primarily on weekends. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction and financial integrity. You will be responsible for balancing all daily revenue and expense transactions, verifying the accuracy of all accounts, and preparing reports for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all end-of-day financial auditing procedures for the hotel, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify and balance all daily financial transactions, including cash, credit card, and direct billing accounts.
- Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management.
- Resolve any discrepancies or problems related to accounting and guest billing.
- Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations efficiently during the night shift.
- Provide exceptional guest service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
- Monitor hotel security and respond to any emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of all overnight activities.
- Assist with other front office duties as needed during the overnight shift.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a hotel front office or finance role, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS), ideally OnQ or similar.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work weekend overnight shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Night Auditor.
- Familiarity with local Aurora area attractions and services.
