Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room (ER) Nurse to join our dynamic team in Johns Creek, GA. This is a unique opportunity for internationally trained nurses, as the position is LMIA Approved and Visa Supported, offering a clear pathway to a rewarding career in the United States. The successful candidate will provide expert nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring adherence to all professional and regulatory standards. Our ER handles a diverse range of medical emergencies, requiring quick thinking, strong clinical skills, and a calm demeanor under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments, prioritizing care based on critical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
- Initiate and manage advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) protocols as necessary.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment, including defibrillators, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, other nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff.
- Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control policies.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patient rights and ethical considerations are upheld.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.
Required Skills
- Current RN licensure (or eligibility for licensure in Georgia).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an Emergency Room or critical care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Proficiency in emergency medical procedures and equipment.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification.
- Experience with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic).
- Familiarity with immigration processes for healthcare professionals.
