Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and independent individuals to join our team as E-scooter & E-bike Fleet Rechargers for the night shift. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for locating, collecting, and recharging our fleet of electric scooters and bikes, ensuring they are ready for riders each morning. This is an independent contractor position, ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy working autonomously during night hours. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining our service quality and availability in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and collect E-scooters and E-bikes requiring charging using our internal app.
- Safely transport vehicles to designated charging hubs or personal charging stations.
- Execute efficient charging procedures to prepare vehicles for deployment.
- Redistribute fully charged vehicles to strategic locations across Manchester for optimal rider access.
- Perform basic visual inspections for damage and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and traffic regulations.
- Manage your time effectively to meet nightly targets and ensure fleet readiness.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (van or large car preferred)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 kg (e-scooters/e-bikes)
- Comfortable working independently during night hours (typically 9 PM – 5 AM)
- Proficiency with smartphone applications and GPS navigation
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or fleet management roles
- Familiarity with the geography of Manchester and surrounding areas
- Experience operating hand trucks or similar equipment for vehicle transport
