Job Description

Join the Town of Strathmore Recreation Department as an Early Morning Swimming Pool Vacuum Operator. This crucial part-time role ensures the cleanliness and operational readiness of our aquatic facilities before our patrons arrive. You will be responsible for meticulously vacuuming the pool floor, checking water levels, and assisting with general facility upkeep. Ideal for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and prefer early morning shifts. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily vacuuming of the swimming pool floor and walls using specialized equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate water levels in the pool and surrounding areas.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
  • Assist with general facility cleaning tasks as needed, including deck scrubbing and tidying.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and departmental procedures.
  • Ensure the pool area is clean and safe for opening to the public.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently during early morning hours.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Physical ability to lift moderate weights (e.g., vacuum hoses, cleaning supplies) and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
