Job Description
Join XPO Logistics as a Seasonal Dock Worker in North Las Vegas! This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the logistics industry and contribute to our busy operations during peak season. We are seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to ensure the efficient movement of freight within our terminal. Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Efficiently sort, stack, and stage freight in designated areas according to company procedures.
- Inspect freight for damage or discrepancies, accurately documenting and reporting any issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner, completing pre-shift inspections as required.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain workflow.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall terminal operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate freight handling and documentation.
- Basic communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.
- Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs dictate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dock, or logistics environment.
- Prior experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
