Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Dispatcher Assistant for our night shift operations in Humble, TX. This role is essential to supporting our dispatch team, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation operations during off-peak hours. The ideal candidate will assist in managing driver schedules, coordinating logistics, processing documentation, and maintaining clear communication with drivers and other departments. This is a critical support role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dispatchers with daily operational tasks, including scheduling, routing, and load assignment during the night shift.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and any issues or updates.
- Monitor driver locations and progress using tracking software, reporting any delays or discrepancies.
- Process and maintain accurate transportation documentation, including logs, manifests, and trip sheets.
- Field incoming calls and emails, providing timely and professional assistance.
- Support problem-solving for operational challenges that arise during the night shift.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform data entry and administrative duties as required.
