Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Discount Store Markdown Labeler to join our team in Cambridge. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately applying markdown labels to a wide range of products using a price gun. This position involves repetitive tasks and requires a keen eye for detail to ensure all products are priced correctly according to current promotions and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately apply markdown labels to various products using a handheld price gun.
- Ensure all pricing information, including discounts and promotions, is correct and clearly displayed.
- Organize and prepare products for labelling, verifying item codes and prices.
- Assist with basic merchandising tasks, such as re-stocking shelves with labelled items.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Follow company procedures for product handling and pricing integrity.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with pricing or stock levels to management.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and consistently over extended periods.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift light to moderate items for the duration of a shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Familiarity with using a price gun or similar labelling equipment.
- Experience with inventory or stock control processes.
