Job Description

Saanich Dental Group is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant Trainee to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and assist our experienced dentists and hygienists during various dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in accordance with strict infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide a calming presence during their visit.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies.
- Actively participate in training sessions and study for the NDAEB certification exam.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong desire to learn and grow within the dental field.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
