Job Description
As a Delivery Van Loading Assistant at FedEx Ground in Palm Bay, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations by ensuring that delivery vans are efficiently and accurately loaded for our drivers. This position involves organizing packages, verifying manifest details, and assisting drivers with route preparation to optimize delivery times and enhance overall customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the timely and safe delivery of goods. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load delivery vans with packages, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement.
- Verify package counts against manifest sheets to ensure accuracy before dispatch.
- Assist drivers with route optimization and package sequencing.
- Maintain a clean and organized loading dock area and warehouse space.
- Operate equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Communicate effectively with drivers and other team members to resolve loading discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs. regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or loading environment.
