Job Description
Join Swift Transportation as a Dedicated Lane Trucker and enjoy the stability of guaranteed minimum weekly pay on consistent routes. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods along a fixed route, building strong relationships with our clients, and representing Swift Transportation with professionalism. We are looking for experienced Class A CDL drivers who are committed to safety, reliability, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Transport freight along assigned dedicated routes, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and accurately complete logs.
- Secure cargo properly according to established safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and company personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service.
- Represent Swift Transportation professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and ELD requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with truck driving (e.g., lifting, bending, climbing)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Experience with dry van or refrigerated freight
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
