Key Responsibilities
- Administer all types of anesthesia (general, regional, local, sedation) for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments, formulate patient-specific anesthesia plans, and obtain informed consent.
- Monitor patients' physiological status during anesthesia, including interpreting advanced hemodynamic, respiratory, and neurological data.
- Manage acute pain, provide post-anesthesia care, and facilitate patient recovery.
- Respond to emergency situations, including airway management, resuscitation, and advanced cardiovascular life support.
- Maintain accurate and complete anesthesia records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain expertise.
Required Skills
- Current CRNA certification and licensure in the State of Ohio (or eligibility for licensure).
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Proven expertise in administering a wide variety of anesthetic techniques and agents.
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, and anatomy related to anesthesia.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a practicing CRNA in a complex surgical setting.
- Experience with specialized procedures such as cardiac, neuro, or pediatric anesthesia.
- ACLS and PALS certification.
- Membership in professional organizations (e.g., AANA).
