Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Blind & Curtain Rail Fitter to join our growing team in Halifax. This role is crucial for ensuring our custom window treatments are installed with the highest level of precision and craftsmanship. You will be responsible for accurately measuring, fitting, and installing a variety of blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery hardware in diverse settings. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate on-site measurements and assessments for various window coverings.
- Install a wide range of blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery hardware with precision.
- Ensure all installations are level, secure, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs as needed to achieve perfect fit and function.
- Provide professional and courteous service to clients, explaining product features and operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' homes or businesses.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company installation standards.
- Manage and maintain company tools and equipment effectively.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders and client feedback forms.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in blind and curtain rail fitting or a related construction/installation trade.
- Proven ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
