Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Records Management Specialist with a focus on Apple systems to support a critical Federal Agency program. In this role, you will be responsible for the lifecycle management of records, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and providing expert support for data held within Apple ecosystem environments. This position requires a strong understanding of federal records management policies (e.g., NARA guidelines), meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a secure and fast-paced federal agency setting. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining information integrity, accessibility, and security for vital government operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain records management policies and procedures compliant with NARA and other federal guidelines.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of electronic and physical records, with a particular emphasis on data generated and stored within Apple operating systems and applications.
  • Conduct records inventories, appraisals, and scheduling in accordance with federal requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to federal agency staff on records management best practices and the use of relevant systems.
  • Ensure the proper handling, storage, retrieval, and disposition of classified and unclassified federal records.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement and maintain secure records systems and data integrity protocols.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficient and compliant records management operations.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for federal agency audits and compliance reviews.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in records management, preferably within a federal agency or government contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in federal records management regulations, including NARA requirements.
  • Proficiency with Apple operating systems (macOS, iOS) and applications relevant to data management.
  • Strong understanding of electronic records management systems (ERMS).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with specific federal agency records management systems.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices for government data.
  • Familiarity with various enterprise content management (ECM) platforms.
