Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Infrastructure Support Analyst with a strong networking focus to join our dynamic team in Provo, UT. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our AI/ML infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on network architecture and operations. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, implement solutions to optimize data flow for AI workloads, and collaborate with engineering teams to design and deploy robust infrastructure components. This is a high-impact position for someone passionate about cutting-edge technology and networking excellence within an AI environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related issues impacting AI/ML clusters and infrastructure.
- Perform root cause analysis for network incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Optimize network configurations and protocols to enhance performance for data-intensive AI workloads.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to understand their networking requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and reliable network infrastructure for AI development and deployment.
- Manage network security best practices and compliance for AI environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network infrastructure.
- Automate routine network tasks using scripting languages.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
- Experience with cloud networking concepts and services (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, GCP Cloud VPC).
- Solid understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash) for network automation.
- Ability to analyze network packet captures and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their networking implications.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- Relevant network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, JNCIP).
- Experience with SDN/NFV technologies.
- Understanding of MLOps pipelines and their infrastructure requirements.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) for network management.
- Experience with distributed systems and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
