Job Description
Are you passionate about technology and eager to kickstart your career in project management within an Agile environment? Capgemini is offering an exciting internship opportunity for an Agile Project Management (Scrum) Intern to join our dynamic tech teams in Chorley. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in supporting Scrum Masters and development teams, learning the intricacies of Agile methodologies, and contributing to real-world projects. You will gain invaluable experience in a fast-paced, innovative setting, working alongside seasoned professionals and contributing to cutting-edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Scrum Masters in facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Help track project progress, update Agile boards, and ensure clear communication of team performance.
- Support in identifying and removing impediments that may hinder team progress.
- Collaborate with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Learn to interpret and analyze data to provide insights into team velocity and project health.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving Agile practices within the team.
- Document processes, decisions, and action items from various Scrum ceremonies.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience with academic or personal projects following Agile principles.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Any relevant certifications or courses in Agile/Scrum.
