Job Description
Are you a motivated 17-year-old looking for your first job experience in a fast-paced retail environment? Best Buy in Santa Rosa is seeking enthusiastic Delivery Assistants to join our appliance and furniture delivery team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn about logistics, customer service, and teamwork. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their purchases safely and efficiently, while gaining valuable work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead drivers with loading and unloading appliances and furniture onto delivery vehicles.
- Safely transport items into customer homes, exercising care to prevent damage to products or property.
- Perform basic assembly or installation tasks for select appliances and furniture as guided by the lead.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and equipment.
- Interact courteously and professionally with customers, providing excellent service during deliveries.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Support the lead driver in navigating routes and confirming delivery schedules.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 75 lbs) with assistance.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be 17 years of age.
- Valid Learner's Permit or Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Currently enrolled in high school or equivalent educational program.
