Job Description
Are you a responsible, caring, and experienced individual looking for part-time weekend night work? Orlando Nanny & Sitter is seeking a trusted local babysitter to join our network of professional caregivers. This role involves providing attentive and engaging childcare for families in the Baldwin Park area during evening and late-night hours on weekends. We are looking for someone who is dependable, has a genuine love for children, and can create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and supervised environment for children of various ages.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, and creative play.
- Prepare and serve snacks or simple meals as needed.
- Follow established bedtime routines and ensure children are comfortable.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's well-being and activities.
- Address any minor incidents or emergencies calmly and effectively.
- Tidy up play areas and clean up after children's activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in childcare (babysitting, nannying, daycare).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple children and varying age groups.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background checks and positive references readily available.
- Experience with children with special needs (if applicable).
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or related coursework.
- Non-smoker.
- Local resident of Baldwin Park or immediate surrounding areas.
