Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Documentation Clerk with an engineering focus to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining critical engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This is a vital position that supports our engineering department by streamlining information flow and contributing to project efficiency, all from the comfort of your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive database of engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and manuals.
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly categorized, indexed, and stored in accordance with company policies and best practices.
  • Perform quality checks on documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established formats and standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to retrieve, update, and distribute documentation as needed for various projects.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of document control procedures and systems.
  • Prepare and compile documentation packages for internal and external audits or project submissions.
  • Support the archiving and retrieval of historical engineering records.
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all sensitive engineering information.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in document management or administrative roles, preferably with an engineering or technical focus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with document management systems (DMS) or electronic data management (EDM) software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering Technology, Business Administration).
  • Experience with CAD software viewing (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) or other engineering-specific tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards or other quality management systems.
  • Previous experience working remotely.
