Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Christmas Tree Harvester for the upcoming winter season. This is an outdoor, physically demanding role crucial to delivering high-quality Christmas trees to our customers. You will be an integral part of our seasonal operations, ensuring trees are carefully harvested, prepared, and ready for transport. This gig offers competitive pay for those who thrive in a brisk, outdoor environment and enjoy hands-on work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently harvest Christmas trees using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Assist with the netting, baling, and preparing of trees for transport.
  • Load and unload trees onto transport vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Operate basic farm equipment or machinery under supervision, if trained.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily harvesting targets.
  • Perform general outdoor labour and farm maintenance tasks as required.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (cold, rain, etc.).
  • Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of lifting and carrying heavy items (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality harvesting.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures for outdoor work and tool handling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in agricultural, forestry, or outdoor manual labour roles.
  • Familiarity with operating chainsaws, netting machines, or other relevant farm equipment (certification preferred).
  • Full UK driving license with access to own transport.
  • First Aid certification.
