Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Office Furniture Assembler to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality corporate office furniture installations across South Yorkshire and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate assembly and installation of a wide range of office furniture, including desks, chairs, storage units, and modular systems, often working on-site at client locations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install various types of office furniture according to blueprints, diagrams, or verbal instructions.
- Perform quality checks on assembled furniture to ensure stability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
- Safely transport furniture components to and from client sites, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Interact professionally with clients on-site, addressing any concerns and ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly or installation issues efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with furniture rearrangement, repair, or dismantling as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in furniture assembly or related field (e.g., carpentry, general handyman).
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy furniture components.
- Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to various client sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial or corporate office furniture assembly.
- Basic knowledge of office space planning and ergonomics.
- Customer service experience in an on-site client-facing role.
- CSCS card or similar health and safety certification.
