Job Description
We are seeking a talented Visual Search Specialist to join our innovative team, focusing on enhancing and optimizing our visual search capabilities across various platforms. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in leveraging the latest advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and AI to deliver intuitive and highly accurate visual search experiences for our users. You will work with vast datasets, cutting-edge tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex technical challenges into user-centric solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the intersection of visual technology and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement algorithms and models for visual search, image recognition, and object detection.
- Optimize existing visual search systems for performance, accuracy, and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define requirements and deliver innovative visual search features.
- Analyze large visual datasets to identify trends, improve model performance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in computer vision, deep learning, and visual AI.
- Conduct A/B testing and performance evaluations to iterate on and improve visual search results.
- Document technical designs, processes, and results clearly and concisely.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in computer vision and machine learning concepts and algorithms.
- Strong programming skills in Python (or similar languages like C++/Java) with relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).
- Experience with image processing, feature extraction, and deep learning architectures for visual tasks.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment and manage time independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision or AI.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) for machine learning model deployment and scaling.
- Familiarity with visual search engines, e-commerce platforms, or digital content management systems.
