Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to earn extra cash this holiday season? FedEx Ground is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Seasonal Delivery Helpers. In this temporary role, you will assist FedEx Ground drivers with the timely and safe delivery of packages to residential and business customers. This is an excellent opportunity to stay active, work outdoors, and contribute to ensuring packages reach their destinations during our peak delivery period. No prior experience is required – we’ll provide the necessary training!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist FedEx Ground drivers with the loading and unloading of packages from delivery vehicles.
- Deliver packages to specified residential and commercial addresses in a safe and efficient manner.
- Scan packages using a handheld device and obtain signatures when required.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily delivery targets.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) regularly, and up to 150 lbs (68 kg) with assistance from a hand truck or co-worker.
- Capable of walking, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor or customer service role.
- Familiarity with local Biloxi, MS area roads and neighborhoods.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
