Job Description
Join Amazon as a Warehouse Associate and become an integral part of our logistics and fulfillment network in Fontana, CA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring products are handled with care and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and invoices.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Pick, pack, and scan customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe handling of products and equipment.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely, if certified.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with equipment or processes as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 49 pounds regularly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and understand instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Punctual and reliable attendance.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Experience using an RF scanner or other warehouse management systems.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
