Job Description
Join Electronic Arts as a Mobile Game Tester with a primary focus on iOS and Android platforms. This is a 100% remote position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and playability of our exciting mobile game titles. You will be responsible for meticulously testing games, identifying bugs, and providing detailed feedback to our development teams. Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test plans and test cases across various iOS and Android devices and operating systems.
- Identify, document, and track software defects (bugs) using established bug tracking systems.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure the resolution of reported issues.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on gameplay, user experience, and overall game quality.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and product managers to understand game features and testing requirements.
- Perform regression testing, functional testing, and compatibility testing.
- Stay up-to-date with current mobile gaming trends, devices, and operating system updates.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with iOS and Android mobile platforms and their respective ecosystems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for bug reporting and team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with mobile gaming trends and a genuine passion for playing mobile games.
- Basic understanding of bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or game testing, even on personal projects.
- A deep passion for video games and an understanding of game design principles.
- Experience with different mobile device manufacturers and screen resolutions.
