Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Developer with a strong emphasis on Liquid programming to join our dynamic team in Terrebonne. As a Senior Liquid Programmer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing complex e-commerce solutions for our diverse client base. This role requires deep expertise in Shopify themes, app integrations, and custom functionality development, ensuring high-performance and scalable online stores. You will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver exceptional digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced Shopify themes and custom functionalities using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into pixel-perfect, responsive Shopify storefronts.
- Integrate and configure third-party Shopify apps and APIs to extend platform capabilities.
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Shopify platform development.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, industry trends, and development tools.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in Shopify theme development.
- Expertise in Liquid templating language.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with Shopify APIs and app integrations.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Experience with headless commerce architectures and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Shopify Partner certification.
