Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Pharmacy Logistics Technician with a strong focus on freight and distribution to join our team in Irvine, CA. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of pharmaceutical products, from receiving and inventory management to picking, packing, and coordinating shipments with freight partners. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our supply chain and ensure life-saving medications reach their destinations accurately and on time. This position requires adherence to strict regulatory guidelines and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive, verify, and store incoming pharmaceutical shipments according to company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare outgoing pharmaceutical orders for shipment, ensuring product integrity and cold chain requirements are met when applicable.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and proficiently.
  • Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Coordinate closely with various freight carriers for timely pickups, deliveries, and resolution of any shipping issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, DEA).
  • Document and track all logistics activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping, using internal systems.
  • Identify and report any damaged, expired, or non-compliant products.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and improve logistics processes.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory tracking software.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or relevant technical certification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with pharmaceutical product handling, cold chain logistics, or controlled substances.
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Familiarity with FDA and DEA regulations pertinent to pharmaceutical distribution and handling.
