Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Wall Art Mounting Pro with a specialized focus on large mirrors and frames. This role involves the precise and secure installation of high-value wall art, including oversized mirrors, framed artwork, and decorative panels, in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in handling delicate and heavy items, utilizing advanced mounting techniques, and ensuring impeccable alignment and safety. You will be a crucial part of our white-glove delivery and installation team, upholding RH’s standards of excellence and client satisfaction. This is an on-site position requiring travel to various client locations within the Fremont area and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently install a wide variety of wall art, with a primary focus on large mirrors and framed pieces, adhering to RH's quality and safety standards.
- Accurately measure, level, and position items to achieve perfect aesthetic alignment.
- Utilize appropriate tools and hardware for different wall materials (drywall, plaster, brick, tile, etc.) and item weights, ensuring secure and lasting installations.
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys to assess potential challenges and recommend optimal placement.
- Protect client property during installation, including floors, furniture, and walls.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing professional and courteous service, and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including proper disposal of packing materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues on-site.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and local building codes.
- Provide guidance and support to junior installers or assistants as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in art installation or a similar skilled trade, with a strong portfolio of large-scale projects.
- Proven expertise in mounting heavy and oversized mirrors and frames.
- Proficiency with a variety of power and hand tools specific to art installation.
- Excellent understanding of wall materials, structural integrity, and appropriate fastening techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and aesthetic sensibility.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans or client specifications.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability in diverse installation environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited art handling or installation program.
- Experience with specialized art hanging systems (e.g., security hardware, gallery systems).
- Background in construction, carpentry, or fine art handling.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or vocational training preferred.
