Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Seasonal Dock Workers in Pasco, Washington. This role is crucial to our operations, involving the efficient and safe loading, unloading, and movement of freight within our terminal. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight using various equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Sort, segregate, and stage freight for transport.
- Verify and document freight conditions, count, and accurately complete necessary paperwork.
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of shipments.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry freight up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and a dock environment.
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dock, or logistics environment.
- Experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
