Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in Fresno, CA. As a key member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in compounding and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance verification, and patient record maintenance.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Operate pharmacy systems and equipment, including point-of-sale systems and automated dispensing machines.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and company policies.
- Assist with immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, if certified and authorized.
- Handle cash register transactions and manage customer payments.
Required Skills
- Current and valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of California.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and pharmacy software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA).
- Experience with pharmacy management systems (e.g., RxConnect).
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
