Job Description
We are seeking experienced CDL-A Linehaul Drivers to join our team in Bowling Green, KY. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight across long distances, typically from one service center to another. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently over long distances, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Hook and unhook trailers, including pulling pins, cranking dollies, and safely securing loads.
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service, vehicle inspections, and freight documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and other team members.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight to designated locations.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 12 months verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no serious violations
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement
- Doubles/Triples endorsement
- Experience with LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight
