Job Description
Are you a motivated student looking for a dynamic part-time opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced e-commerce environment? Amazon Fulfillment in Zephyrhills, FL, is seeking dedicated Student Fulfillment Hands to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This is an excellent chance to develop practical skills, work within a supportive team, and contribute to Amazon’s mission of customer obsession.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick and retrieve products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications using handheld scanners.
- Accurately pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring products are protected for transit.
- Sort and stage packages for outbound shipping, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Receive incoming inventory, verifying quantities and product information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all company policies and procedures.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) after proper training, if required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds regularly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic computer literacy for using handheld scanners and internal systems.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a high school diploma, GED program, or higher education.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
