Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shopify Specialist with a dedicated focus on the Pet Care & Supplies niche to join our dynamic e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pets and possess a deep understanding of the Shopify platform, with proven experience in managing and optimizing online stores. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining product catalogs, implementing marketing campaigns, improving site functionality, and ensuring a seamless customer journey for our pet-loving community. This role requires a blend of technical Shopify expertise, a creative eye for merchandising, and a strong analytical mindset to drive sales and enhance user experience within the pet supplies category.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain product listings, ensuring accurate information, compelling descriptions, and high-quality imagery specifically for pet care and supply products.
- Optimize website content and product pages for SEO to improve organic search rankings within the pet niche.
- Implement and manage e-commerce promotions, discounts, and campaigns on the Shopify platform.
- Monitor website performance, analyze sales data, and identify trends to inform strategies for growth in the pet supplies category.
- Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and customer service teams to align online strategies with overall business objectives.
- Assist in the selection, configuration, and integration of Shopify apps and third-party tools to enhance site functionality.
- Perform regular quality assurance checks on the website, ensuring all features and content are functioning correctly.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify best practices, new features, and e-commerce trends, especially those relevant to the pet industry.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, working with development teams when necessary.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing Shopify e-commerce stores.
- Demonstrable understanding of e-commerce principles, merchandising, and online sales strategies.
- Proficiency with Shopify's administrative interface, product management, and order fulfillment processes.
- Experience with basic HTML/CSS for minor site adjustments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A genuine passion for pets and a strong understanding of the pet care and supplies market.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify Plus and its advanced features.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other e-commerce analytics tools.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and content marketing within the pet industry.
- Previous experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
